For more than 30 years, the O’Shields family has proudly served Sevier County on Dolly Parton Parkway in Sevierville. In 1996, David and Alesia O’Shields opened their doors as an A&W franchise, bringing frosty mugs of root beer, juicy burgers, and classic American fare to locals and visitors alike. Over the decades, their restaurant became more than just a place to eat—it became part of the fabric of Sevier County. Families stopped in after ball games, friends gathered after work, and countless Smoky Mountain memories were made around those tables.

Now, after three decades of serving the community under the familiar A&W name, the O’Shields family is turning the page to an exciting new chapter: Buddy Dave’s. At Buddy Dave’s, you’ll find the same fresh quality food and friendly service you’ve always loved, but with a new identity that’s 100% rooted in the Smokies. The O’Shields family is proud to step out as an independent, locally owned eatery—celebrating the mountains, the people, and the stories that make this place special.
